Prototype Design & Development
Our prototype molds are designed with a three-plate system, using individual inserts to make the process of transitioning to a production mold seamless. Our trained and seasoned engineers work with a variety of prototyping techniques, in our fully equipped vide quality prototypes."oesn'ues in our full tool shop tool room, to quickly provide quality prototypes.
We get involved from the earliest stages, designing and developing stamping prototypes, molding components, and even delivering small runs of a complete, assembled products.
At Precision Concepts, we can produce the stamp parts, plating, heat treatments, and provide a range of other important processes to create the most effective prototypes.
We create metal prototypes by first creating blanks, either with dies or cuts, or we can form them through our stage forming system. Our stamping dies ensure high production consistency, and we use in-line Cognex inspection cameras to detect any profile or form defects.
We also have a number of tools to produce plastic prototypes, include our Round Mate System, 3D printers, and more.
What Makes Us Different?
Many companies use the same team for production and prototyping, which leaves them waiting for specific resources within the company. Others simply farm out their design and development activities, focusing on production over development.
At Precision Concepts, we have an entire team and a fully equipped tool shop dedicated to prototyping.
We don’t let production get in the way of prototyping. We can get the design pinpointed from the very first steps, then move directly into production with the best possible models and plans.
